Covid-19 tests available in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk
SARS-Cov-2 (COVID-19) RT-PCR
SARS-Cov-2 (COVID-19) RT-PCR
Testing Method: Real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), gene detection method
Specimen collection: Nasal and throat swabs (nasopharyngeal swab)
Purpose: Confirmation of COVID-19 diagnosis
Characteristics: This method is currently used to confirm COVID-19 diagnosis in most countries. It is suitable for travel and work-related purposes.

Price: 2500 Rubles (next day result) / 3000 Rubles (same day, urgent result)
SARS-CoV-2, IgG / IgM (EXPRESS / RAPID TEST)
SARS-CoV-2, IgG / IgM (EXPRESS / RAPID TEST)
Testing Method: Immunochromatography
Specimen collection: Serum collected by venipuncture (blood)
Purpose: Suitable for urgent qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 IgM and IgG antibodies (summary)
Characteristics: This test may be used for early diagnosis, isolation, and treatment which are essential to cure the disease and control the epidemic.
Interpreting results: Negative results do not rule out SARS-CoV-2 infection, particularly in those who have been in contact with the virus. Follow-up testing with a molecular diagnostic should be considered to rule out infection in these individuals. Results from antibody testing should not be used as the sole basis to diagnose or exclude SARS-CoV-2 infection or to inform infection status.

Price: 1900 Rubles (same day result, within a couple of hours)
SARS-CoV-2, IgM (anti-SARS-CoV-2, IgM) qualitative
SARS-CoV-2, IgM (anti-SARS-CoV-2, IgM) qualitative
Testing Method: Serology method
Specimen collection: Serum collected by venipuncture (blood)
Purpose: Serologic tests can detect the presence of antibodies in serum within days to weeks following acute infection
Characteristics: Typically, in this pandemic period, most doctors only suggest a test to diagnose COVID-19 if you have symptoms or you've had exposure to someone with COVID-19 recently
Interpreting results: Detection of IgM may suggest relatively recent infection. Test result is qualitative, meaning it provides a simple “yes or no” answer as to whether or not antibodies are present. However, qualitative testing cannot measure how many SARS-CoV-2 antibodies are present, and it doesn’t indicate the strength of the immune response.

Price: 900 Rubles (next day result)
SARS-CoV-2, IgG (anti-SARS-CoV-2, IgG) qualitative
SARS-CoV-2, IgG (anti-SARS-CoV-2, IgG) qualitative
Testing Method: Serology method
Specimen collection: Serum collected by venipuncture (blood)
Purpose: IgG testing is normally done after full recovery from COVID-19. It is meant to show whether a patient has developed antibodies against the virus or not.
Characteristics: IgG levels decrease more slowly over time than IgM and are observed after a median of 12-14 days and last for several months.
Interpreting results: IgG levels decrease more slowly over time than IgM. Positive result might mean that a patient had past exposure to the virus (with or without symptoms) or presumed immunity. This test result is qualitative, meaning it provides a simple “yes or no” answer as to whether or not antibodies are present. However, qualitative testing cannot measure how many SARS-CoV-2 antibodies are present, and it doesn’t indicate the strength of the immune response.

Price: 1300 Rubles (next day result)
SARS-CoV-2, IgG (anti-SARS-CoV-2, IgG) quantitative
SARS-CoV-2, IgG (anti-SARS-CoV-2, IgG) quantitative
Testing Method: Serology method
Specimen collection: Serum collected by venipuncture (blood)
Purpose: This test detects IgG antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 spike antigen and can be used to infer past infection or vaccination status.
Characteristics: IgG levels decrease more slowly over time than IgM and are observed after a median of 12-14 days and last for several months.
Interpreting results: This test result is quantitative. By measuring the level of  IgG SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in a patient’s blood sample, quantitative tests give a more definitive answer about the body’s immune response to the virus. Quantitative tests are traceable to a specific international standard that ensures the result produced correlates to a numeric quantity of antibodies (BAU/ml).
